Hi Mike,
Mine came with the SS1 remote-float bowl carbs. The original owner switched them for the VHBs early in my bikes life. Cheers,
Charlie.

Mike, We have to go way back to the late 60's and imagine what was going on in the minds of the people then and what the factory practices were. It is very likely that they were putting these bikes together with whatever available parts they had at the time. Also....unless you bought a bike new from the dealer or purchased it from a person that had it would be hard to know what parts were original and which were added on later. I don't have Greg's book in front of me but I suspect the picture of the Early V750 Ambo (indicated by the unique pinstriping) could show you. As far as I know.....the "A" series Ambos were pretty much V700's with 750 cylinders. That was it.
