I was very pleased to meet Ken and look over his bike at MG Day in
Angiers. He used a T front end including the fenders but was not
running fork covers or Ambo/Eldo instruments. With a little finnagaling
and fabrication this could be done but for the classic look you need to
source the original parts. The Eldo and Ambo have slightly wider triple
trees so fitting the valenced fender would be impossible the way Ken did
it. Alternatively you could slip the "T" tubes into the Loop trees. It
would require a little lathe work but is nothing to complex.
That said my next Guzzi project will be a "Ken Pitts Replica". I have
two boneyard doners on the radar now. One "T" and one Ambo.
