Subject: RE: Weird

I had something similar happen to me. I dropped a small bolt and it
fell onto the starter between the main battery cable and the spade lead
on the solenoid. The bolt shorted them and the starter took off. The
ignition was not on so the bike would not start. It was lucky I had the
side covers off so I could disconnect the battery because the bolt tack
welded its self to the terminals. >
