OK, found the speedo pic with labeled lights:
Top Row, from left to right:
High Beam - Blue or Red light
Generator Warning Light - Red light
Nuetral - Amber light
Oil Warning - Red light
Left Side:
Left Blinker - Blue or Green
Courtesy Light (Spotlights) - Red or Blue
Push/Pull Switch - Windshield map light
Right Side:
Push/Pull Switch - kill switch
Right Blinker - Blue or Green
Toggle Switch - Flashers
That's it. Like I said earlier, my dash is a bit different in that
where the toggle switch is on the right side, I have a push/pull switch
which operates my flashers, and where the right side push/pull switch is
on most/all others, I have a blue light that illuminates/flashes with
the flashers. All others I have seen do not have this light, rather,
they have the push/pull switch which serves as a kill switch. On the
left side, the push/pull switch does indeed operate a wire that was
probably for a map light.
Hope this clears everything up.

I would have to lok closely but I believe the four
accross the top are,Top left is high beam (red), next
is Gen (amber), next is Oil (red), I don't remember
what the last one is. I have the push-pull kill on the
left, another on the right that isn't hooked up, and a
toggle on the right for flashers. turn signals are
extreme right and left, (blue-green).
Hope this helps. I will take a look tomorrow and see
if I can remember what the last one is.

listed what all the idiot
lights on the LAPD dash are for. I would be very
grateful if someone could
post a description of what the lights are for.
Unfortunatley, one of the
lights came on yesterday.
Has anyone ever wired an noisemaker into the
turnsignal circuit? On a sunny
day it is imposible to see the light blink on the
dash, making it easy to
leave the turnsignal on.
Thanks for your help
