the ride to grattan was great, i went with kev. with the exception
of my gas cap on my ' 70 ambo not venting and having to pull over
twice, it was good. you are right it was hot as hell!
but great fun . i would like to thank jeff the guzzi guru who works
at detroit bmw for pulling over to help on the side o i-96

We also had a good time over at the vintage motocross too. Darren is

and into vintage European dirt bikes (I don't know where he gets it
from). No Guzzis there, but there was an Aermacchi and also some
crazy on
a Norton twin.

I took some pictures too. I'll try to get 'em up on the web soon. It
was
a great event, very laid back. They even had an everybody's invited
pig
roast afterwards.

How was the ride, Kev? Looked to be some great roads around Grattan,
but
it was way too hot for me. Were you guys riding in normal sport bike
apparel, swim trunks, flip-flops and no shirts

but that's
exactly what I liked about it. The thing has one purpose in it's
life and
that's to get Ken to the finish line as quick as possible. Took

twice?!
Congrats! Damn, there's nothing better than seeing a loop tear up

a

track!
I do regret not meeting the MG guys. Gordon I heard you were

there,

I looked
around a couple of times but no dice. I did see the bike, nobody
around. One
of those things. Maybe another time.
I don't know enough about all the racers to give a full run down,
but it
really seemed that Guzzi won the day that weekend.

Gundlach. There's a few others in there too. I missed Ken Pitts's
race,
sorry Ken.
I didn't stay for Sunday, only Saturday. Too hot for me. The guys
racing
were really cooking out there.
