Hi Terrence and all,
The "30204" you're thinking of is probably actually 30205 which are the steering head and rear drive pinion bearings ($12 ea. Timken brand). The guy at the local bearing supply house was able to match up bearings for the other rear drive bearings as well. The large ball bearing (SKF brand #16014) is $68 and the smaller roller (needle?) bearing (INA brand #NAO40x55017) was $58. I mentioned the "unobtanium" wheel bearings and he's sure there's a match - although I'll have to see it to believe it. I'll be going back to get the 30205s and will take a NOS wheel bearing (I bought 2 for $18 ea. from a defunct Guzzi dealer) to see if he can match something up. I'll report back at that time. Cheers,
Charlie.

Guzziology mentions that wheel bearings are not available and he has not found any replacement matches, but a kit to fit similar bearings is available from Leo Tamers (and sold by Moto Int.). A web site cross references the part number to a standard 30204 bearing. |
