Greg,
I already have two sets of db bags, one tonti set with one side
damaged, and one loop set with one repro lid. I think I can get a complete
set for the eldo out of the two. Got the loop set from Mike by the way.
Anyway, I just love the round lids that are on the set he just got. I have
only seen a few sets with the round lids in the past 28 years and that makes
me want them even more. Just my insane nature to be different. Thats why I
like the Goose so much. I under stand that the round top bags interfere with
a passenger and that is why they were dropped, no proof though. If that set
you have coming turns out to have the round lids I would definitely be
"droolingly" interested.
The attachment is a photo of the 73 Eldo that I sold to my brother,
he painted it the pearl blue and added custom racks w/cupholders to the top
of the bags, I added the ford truck lights which are no longer available.
Current versions are wider and don't fit. Thinking of trying a 94 'Vette
taillight, looks as if it might fit. I think the round lids would set off
the Wixom box perfectly and my box on the 74 also has the rounded bottom. If
I was a whiz with glass ..... But I'm not.
Anyway, if they are round think of me, Thanks.

P.S. I guess that would depend on the price, not really looking for a
windjamer right now but I have often thought I'd like to try one. I tend to
like the way the Wixom fits the Eldo.

Alan: I may have a set of DBs I'd part with. I have an Eldo on the way to me from AZ that the guy said had DBs. I've already got a set of Buco bags I'm planning on fitting, if any bags at all. Ping me in about another week, and I should have them in hand. Want a fine Windjammer fairing to go with them? Greg Field |
