I have a newly installed clutch & deep spline hub in my Eldo with maybe 50 miles on it. It "seems" to be dragging or something, and when it gets hot neutral is very hard if not impossible to locate, and downshifting gets more difficult. I am concerned as to whether the clutch arm in the back of the transmission is correctly adjusted. I could use some help and advice. I know that the clutch arm should not come in contact with the trans housing when the clutch lever is pulled at the handlebars, and it doesn't. I am concerned that it may be adjusted too far out, although I am not sure what is correct. There is no play at all in the clutch arm, it is under constant spring tension. Currently, with the clutch cable off, my clutch lever arm is under spring pressure and pressing on the lower frame cross member. If I loosen the adjusting nut, the nut loosens, but the arm does not move. Just what exactly is the procedure here, and how can you tell that the arm is adjusted correctly?
Thanks for any wisdom on this.
