Subject: Ambo shift problem
I hate to tell all you Ambo owners this, but, the guy who redid my tranny, B.J. Schwartz(the Guzzi Guru)told me once that the Ambo four speed tranny has brass bushing at the back of the rod that holds the gears and that this bushing wears out prematurely. Thr reason for your shifting problems prolly has to do with this bushing beeing worn. Sorry. If anyone would like to talk with B.J., I'll give you his home phone #.
