Been working on the carbs on the Ambo. Runs hotter than I think it
ought. Found out that the previous "mechanic" put the carbs toether
without any to cover gasket at all. Would this lean things out enough
to cause the bike to run noticieably hot (at least compared to my Eldo)?
Second question: Page 7 in the 750 section of the Premier manual lists
V5 needle to be in 3rd notch, V9 needle to be in second notch. Same
manual, page 51 says V5 in SECOND notch. Which is correct?? Mine are
in second notch, haven't checked which needle I have yet, though V5 is
supposed to be most common. I'm sure the wrong notch would lean out the
burn, just haven't tested since the gasket correction.
