Hi Pat and all,
VW/Audi (and probably other auto manufacturers) use the same sort of isolators to mount the fuel pumps and filters. The ones on my '88 80 Quattro look much the same as the new Agostini supplied ones I bought for the '71 Ambo. They may also be available at a good hardware store or small engine parts shop. I'm not sure how much the dimensions differ, but the Audi ones stay together - one split last time I changed the filter. 14 years - pretty good! Cheers,
Charlie

RE: Loopframe dash panel rubber mounts with threaded studs. I think these same rubber mounts are used to hold the early EV computer to the rear fender. I had most of mine come apart on two EV's and my dealer says it is a common failure. Like you, I saw that the rubber to metal bonding was very poor. Not sure the Guzzi replacements are any better. Does anyone know of some other production substitution? Patrick Hayes Fremont CA |
