Bought two new rubber mounting gizmos for the Eldo instrument cluster (the
third one was still good). However, one of the new mounts was apparently not
made properly and one of the metal disks simply popped out of the rubber.
Inspection showed that there had been no significant bond between the rubber
and the metal. To get the Eldo back on the road, I simply cannibalized the
poor Ambassador (currently immobilized while awaiting a new rear main seal).
Does anyone have a good way to bond the rubber to the metal for this device?
These rubber mounts are apparently pretty hard to come by and I'd like to
salvage this one.
