Hi Jason,
My personal favorites are the Conti "Blitz" TKH23 110/90-18 front and
TKH24 120/90-18 rear. Currently listed at $51 and $58 respectively at
http://www.tireexpress.com
When I can't get the TKH24 rear, I use the TK17 "Conti-Tour" which has
slightly longer tread-life and is usually about $65. With the Blitz
combo I get 12k front and 10k rear, looks like the TK17 currently on my
'69 Ambo will last to 12k. YMMV according to your riding style and
conditions. Either combo works very well in the rain and are great
all-around tires.
Another set I'd like to try are the Bridgestone Spitfire S11 in the same
sizes. They are comparably priced, you might check
http://www.tiresunlimited.comfor a good price on them. I believe
another lister is using them (Ken Pitts?) with good results. Cheers,
Charlie
