i have tested suspect pressure release valves by blowing compressed air in
at varying pressures 'til they let go. a crude test definitely, but ones
i've tested all have opened within spec.
re: drain plug. it's wrong. but it does show it though, doesn't it?

Hi all, I was cleaning and reassembling the oil pressure relief valve on the Eldo, and it has one thick steel washer and one slightly thinner copper washer between the cap and the body. The parts book shows one, and Guzziology says the pressure was set using thin washers. I don't think it has been monkeyed with, but.. Also, the parts book shows the drain plug facing forward..tell me this wrong. 73 Eldo in crates 78 T3/949 |
