My Eldo is very difficult to start after it is warm. Also, I seem to notice
that the RH cylinder is hotter than the LH while just running

My 73 has the same condition.Try retarding the timing a bit to facilitate easy starting. My rt. cylinder blued up the new header pipe while setting up carbs and timing.I was thought it was running lean on that side, raised the jet needle a clip and ran it that way a while.pulled the plugs and found rt. side was running too rich at that needle position, put it back to original setting.I think idle air mixture was too lean, backed it out 1/2 turn.pipe has not gotten any more blue after a couple thousand miles. These are merely my own amateur experiences with my eldo. You should call an expert like Mark at MG cycle,or Moe at Cycle Garden for the experts opinion.Good luck!
