For what it's worth, I've found that you can get a pretty close
approximation of cad plating by using Krylon 1401 Bright Silver spray
paint on your little nuts, bolts, etc. Clean them up on a fine wire
wheel first. I usually take a piece of cardboard , punch a bunch of
holes in it and screw the bolts into it and spray.
To get a good faux finish, take a little dust from your workbench and
lightly smear it around just before the piece is completely dry, but
not too soon. A little practice here helps.
To do parts already on the bike, I spray the paint into the cap and
use a small artist's paint brush. You have to make sure you shake it up
well to get all the particulate in suspension.
