Keith-
i used some old fork oil that was around. [30 or 40 wt.] you can use 90wt.
if ya want [i almost did]. i personally think atf is too thin for fork oil,
and if theres a leak [like a scratch in the forkleg in the seal area- atf
will find it!
glad too see that you are to this point! must be ALmost ready to ride, eh???

Quick question here, I've drained out the fork oil, ready to refill. I
gather I will have to remove the 2 large nuts on top in order to refill?
I have the speedo out of the police housing so access is easy. Looks
like those huge nuts are the one's I need to remove to refill the
forks?? I was going to refill with 5.3 oz trans fluid, should I go with
that or others have said gear oil smooths the ride out (50wt or 90
wt)????
