I used one of those and was stopped by DPS. I was informed that even tho
it says 'dot' or whatever, it was NOT a legal lens becouse it doesn't
have reflectors molded into it. I was given a repair order to get
reflectors on the back of my bike.
You may remember this story. I charged the officer with harrassment,
unjustified stop, failure to know the laws concerning vintage vehicles
and failure to know DPS policy on surplus equiptment.(Iwas wearing a
surplus DPS helmet) and won!

Rit dye works on plastics, a little vinegar sometimes helps. Don.t
expect dramatic results though. The old utility traler lens swap works
fine ,IF you aren't looking for 100% orig.

Can youse guys remember back to the time, long ago, when we talked about
dying the tailight lenses for ambos and eldos?
I think it was Pat Hayes who recommended placing the lenses in hot water
with some kind of a red dye. I don't remember.. CRS disease!
So, anyone know how to make a faded lens red again?
Thanks!!
