While not remotely as pretty as Mr. Prusek's photos yesterday, here are the
long promised photos of my loop project.

It's now stripped down (I'm picking up the powdercoated frame from Steve at
Parts is Parts this weekend) and the rebuild is commencing slowly.
If you go the third page of the pictures (went a little nuts with the
digital camera), you can see some photos of the "plastic fantastic" tank,
the fiberglass sort of V7 sport looking thing that came on the bike. It was
named (and is now owned) by David Washburn. Any one every see this thing
(the tank, not Washburn) before?
Robert Hawkes asked me what looping my part of NYC (Astoria, Queens) is
like. Well, its like Dave described manhattan, except we have more cars with
less people who can drive, and more people with bikes. We also have the
greatest Triumph repair shop (John's Cycle) and homes with garages which
allow for winter projects. And if you are really lucky, when you post to
this list about pulling your guzzi engine, a strange 6'7 guy rolls in on his
Jackyl and helps you pull your engine in a fraction of the time it would
have taken you. His initials are D.W.
later fellas,
Chris
