I bought a set of headers from my Eldo to replace the rusting ones that
came with the bike. In an attempt to retain their sparkling shine, I
used Blue Shield on the interior. They blued anyway. But then again, I
might have been running a bit lean for awhile to cause this.

Try Blue shield from Kreem ( the tank liner products) a coating for the
inside of the pipe. to keep it from blueing
