tom-
if you don't locate any bad connections, i would almost guarantee that the
armature needs to be turned in a lathe. what is likely happening is that the
brushes are bouncing on an irregular surface, instead of steady contact with
a smooth one. it's typical, and easy to remedy [cheap, too]. take it to an
alt./gen. shop.

My Ambo came without a Speedometer or wiring for instrument light. I
found a speedometer and following the schematics for the bike I wired
up the in speedo idiot lights. Everything works. When the bike is
turned on the generator light comes on,then I start it and it goes out
until I raise the RPMs up past about 2500. At that speed the light
come back on again. Would this suggest a regulator problem or a
generator problem. Any ideas or tips on finding the problem will be
appreciated.
Thanks
Tom Baumen
