I am working on a 1969 V7 Ambo. I want to pull off the headlight ears
which also look like they are spring covers. It looks like if I do
this the tubes may drop down into the lowers. I see Moto Guzzi makes a
special tool just for pulling the tubes up into the triple tree again.
So my questions are, will the tubes drop if I pull off the triple tree
and collars? and if they do do I really need the special tool or can I
get it done with out it.
Any one has a perfect set of these collars/ear? Mine have dents that I
want to smooth out.
