Subject: Zinc or Cad?

Hi All,
With the recent discussion about zinc plating of Guzzi bits, a question
comes to mind. Were the brake rods and linkage, shift linkage, bolts,
etc. originally cadmium plated or zinc plated? I always assumed they
were cad plated. I've got a box of stuff I'd like to have replated and
would like to have it done as it was from the factory. Cheers,
