Hi John,

If it was me, I don't think I would take a chance but maybe that's just
cuz tearing into a Guzzi clutch seems like work to me. I've got a couple
of used clutch plates you can have if you want them though.

Regards,

Darrell Dick

While degreasing the fiber clutch plate for my '69 Ambo, one of
the
fiber sections delaminated, making it about 1/16" thinner than the
rest
of them ( a thin section came off the top of one of the sections).
Rather than hunt down someone to rebond it (with the chance of it
delaminating again) I was wondering how much harm there can be to
run it
as is, which means that about 1/4 of one side of one clutch disc
won't
be making contact with the plate, at least until the rest of them
wear
down. The clutch discs have lots of fiber left. What is the
general
consensus on this?
If running it as is seems to be a bad idea, maybe someone out
there
has one useable clutch disc hanging on a wall somewhere.
I still have those free steering neck bearings if anyone out
there
needs them.
