I did clean them up, and they dont look too bad, but they still wont idle very good. I've swapped them for other carbs, so Im sure it is them, that are the problem. I believe the air screw seats are ruined. These carbs sat with old gas in them for at least 20 years, to where it solidified into a hard white powdery crap. I soaked them in carb cleaner and the caustic gallon of stuff from the auto parts store too, but still look cruddy. The jets and passages are all corroded and I just dont think they can be working at their optimum anymore. What I need is a couple good carbs that have been kept clean all these years. Anybody have a set?
