Well, it certainly does no harm; I actually put it in my address book
myself before I heard about the hoax thing, and just left it there
figuring that it can't hurt anything. Now that I hear this from you, I'm
glad I did.

| Sorry, but my local hacker (and many other computer gurus since) told me about this about 5 years ago. It only works on worm viruses that use your e-mail directory. The ! messes with them and they won't go any farther. Other viruses it has no effect on, but since the majority out there are worms, it works most of the time. Has saved my ass numerous times...more like my friends asses, cos they don't get the virus from me. It may be on the hoax site, but they're wrong this time. Chris in NC |
