Cracking and moisture are usually the big killers. Every time it rained mine got wet under the cap. At first I thought the little vent holes so I sealed them. No difference. Maybe it's condensation from the hot cap then cold rain hitting it. I then took a rattlecan top, cut the little center thing out of it and cut a flap to allow for the plugwires and then cabletied it over the distributer cap. Never had a rain issue with it again. JB
