Count me in, Don't matter when or where, state park would be good.
You guys seem to have left out Detroit! C'mon we got everything. Numerous
rivers and beaches to swim and fish (just nevermind the warning signs),
Maybe we could rent out the old Tiger Stadium, walking distance from 10
corner bars!. Talk about twisties! You'll be ready to hit the sack after
testing your skills dodging the potholes on I-94! Oh, don't forget the
peaceful relaxing sounds of the city!
So c'mon, dig them kevlar vests out of the closet, strap on that ankle
holster and top off that fork oil, we're going to DETROIT!
Kev

If y'all are serious, I can start scouting location soon. Depending on how
many of us there would be, there are a number of places to use as "base
camp." Pocahontas is a pretty big county and I don't think there's a bad
motorcycle road in it. Snowshoe is about the only thing that brings traffic
into the area.
So here's what I need to know to get started:
1. how many people are seriously interested in attending?
2. what date/weekend/holiday/etc. would best fit into your plans?
3. should we use a motel or a state park as base camp (or other - the floor
is open for suggestions)?
4. interested in a concert or other event in the area that weekend? Maybe a
group ride on the famous "Cass Scenic Railroad" (their Heisler locomotive
has a giantic Guzzi-like cylinder layout)?
5. what should the ratio of riding-eating-drinking-site seeing-tire
kicking-sleeping be?
Just trying to get a feel for what the Loop Group would be most interested
in. Let me know what you think. Cheers,
Charlie
