Hey, thanks a lot; I'd be interested in seeing them. I did have
some concerns about the effects they have on engine cooling. They
probably also tend to reflect the engine noises up to the rider, which
may be why your friend thought the bike ran better without them. This is
an old tune up trick; take off the windshield/fairing/legshields and the
bike immediately sounds better.

I friend of mine had leg shields on his stock V700. They looked cool but he ended up taking them off because they seemed to make his engine run hot by blocking the air from the jugs. I am sure being down here in FLA had something to do with it also. He swore after taking them off the bike ran better. Maybe something to think about. He sold the bike to a guy who did a awful custom job on it. I think a have a "after" photo of it with the leg shields. I will try to dig it up and email it to you.
