Ron,
If you are talking about using the nut on the bottom of the steering
head shaft for mounting purposes, my guess is that you are going to be a
bit short on threads to hold everything together. Now you could make a
plate to fit on the top of the lower triple clamp and then run bolts
through the holes that are in the end of each of clamp's slots.
