"He took a wrong turn to go to Jerome, but I suppose he made it home o.k."
Hey Tom, Just had to say hi, Your making me miss AZ, especially this time of
year. I used to take day small trips up to Jerome all the time while I was
there. Just thought it was a very cool town. I never saw houses built off
the side of a mountain before. Where the driveways are actually bridges.
Very Cool. Seemed to get a bit trendy but still very cool.

Hi all,
As you may know, I went to LV for John Loyd's memorial service. His
survivors put on a really nice service for him. Lots of tears and lots
of laughs, too.
While I was there I stayed with fellow lister Bill Arbour. Let me tell
you all that Bill is a first class guy! He is marvelous when it comes to
putting a wrench to a bike too. That Eldovert he built is really cool!
Bill and his wife, Nicole, put me and fellow AZ Guzzi rider Jim Conway
up for the night. He drove us around Vegas, took us to the gugenhiem,
then to a buffet, then downtown to Le Bouyue for a serious drink. Thanks
Bill!!!
I saw my friends Pat and Regina Hayes, Bill Ross and his wife and son
Garrett. We went out to Death Valley on Sunday for a memorial breakfast.
We toasted John with some Moto Guzzi wine from Italy courtesy of Bill,
thanks again!!
I was going to stay till Monday, but Jim said he was leaving that
afternoon cause he had to be to work, so I rode with him. Well, we split
from there (Death Valley) round about 10:30 or eleven. The weather was
perfect! Totally overcast! Nice and cool. We were riding back with Tim
"CRASH" Crump and Bill, but split up north of Vegas.
Going over THE dam, we had to cross a military check point. No RV's or
big rigs were allowed on the dam, so we made some pretty sweet time on
that road.
We stopped at Seligman on I-40 for gas, then onto Ashfork then down 89
to Chino Valley for a Sonic burger. We split up outside of Prescott cuz
Jim was on the wrong side of the mountain. He took a wrong turn to go to
Jerome, but I suppose he made it home o.k. I stopped at EP&F Moto Guzzi
and dropped off a remembrance for Jim from the memorial. Then I came
down the mountain to Phoenix. Got home by 8:00 pm. A quick 500 miler!
Please, let's all be carefull out there. I would rather meet you at a
rally than your family at YOUR memorial service!!! :^)
