Hi gang!
Last weekend I loaded up the truck, picked up dad and went to Lake
Havasue to my uncle's house to fetch the old beemer. It origionally was
born a 1965 R60/2. My uncle modified it with a 1600cc volkswagon engine
and a Honda disc brake front end in 1970. You cannot tell anything has
been done to the bike till you look close at the motor then say to
yourself, "What the Heck?!?! My Uncle was at the first meeting of the
BMW owners club, but didn't join till a year later. His number is 1007.
My brother, his wife and three boys were there also, so pictures had to
be taken of the three generations of Short brothers! Lots of fun.
So, now I will be buying my wine in bottles instead of boxes. Luckily, a
good BMW buddy of mine, Darrel Mehrten, told me that I could get the
bottles with the twist off cap!!WOOHOO!!!
