McMaster Carr sells metric coupling nuts. They're about an inch long.
You can replace the top shock nut with one and mount the ammo can
direct. Same with the rear grab rail and license plate turnsignal
bracket. You can then add a real simple brace, 1" square tubing, from
the hole above the rear footpeg mount to the bottom of the can.

I have some cavernous 50cal ammo cans I want to mount on the Eldorado ala JB Weld's ratguzzi. I want to avoid having to fabricate the mounting hardware/rack if possible. The question= Where can I get some hardbag mounts (Wixom?) that would be stout enough to support these cans....they are substantial. Would like something fairly cheap, but bottom line is I want it stable and usuable. Thanks in advance... Todd 73 Eldorado |
