Use the lo octne stuff and add racing gas to it to get the desired octane.
Of course if you have no pinging or knocking, then the lo octane is fine.
I'd stay away from the gasohol or any octane boosters sold in chain
stores...I'm sure someone makes one that works, but I haven't found it yet.

On this subject, local pumps here in PA have started adding 10% ethanol to
the high test fuel.
I vaguely remember that the ethanol can be detrimental to engines so I used
the 89 proof stuff
Any experiences or strong opinions on the subject??

good hi-po gas, the lead don't really matter.

I was wondering how the majority feel about using a lead substitute in
their
loopers? After all, they were designed for leaded premium fuel.I use
it;cheap insurance for valve protection!
