Greetings to you all,
John P. Smith, from Sweden, Maine USA here........with a question.......
I have followed the posts here for the past several weeks and find them
very interesting, as I ride an '87 SP-II, a '72 Eldo, a '98 EV and a '67
V-700.........and it is the V-700 that prompts me to ask for you
assistance......
I am having a very serious debate with a friend about the RPM's of my front
tire over a distance of 60 miles..........or, more specifically, the number
of revolutions that my front tire will make within a one second period of
time traveling at 60 miles per hour.
For the purpose of this debate, please assume that the circumference of my
front tire is 80.14 inches or each time the tire completes one complete
revolution, it has traveled 6.68 feet.........
There are 5280 feet in a mile; for my bike to travel one mile, the front
tire must revolve 790 times.......
how many times will it revolve within one hour if it is traveling at 60
miles per hour
how many times will it revolve in one second, at 60 miles per hour
Thanks for your help and I will let you know what the majority of the
answers are........
