Overall I am pleased with the look and quality of the MAC fishtails. For
$200 a pair they are hard to beat. I will probably get used to the
sound. I had become accustomed to my friend Gary's stock Ambo and Eldo
mufflers, which are pretty subdued by most standards. It was kinda'
amazing to hear the sound of my Ambo with those Macs. Of course, as a
few others have pointed out it's one thing to fire the bike up in front
of the garage and get all the echo, and another to have it out on the
open road. I guess I am going to have to ride it for a while and see
what kind of comments I get from the neighbors when I fire it up at 7:00
AM!
In any event I plan on taking the bike around to some of the various
Motor City biker get-togethers and putting a few Hogs to shame. I once
told a friend's kid who had just heard his first Ducati, "that's what
Harley riders dream their bikes sound like when they go to sleep at
night". The way things are going I'll be able to say the same of my
machine!
