Ken, how much did you take off the flywheel...could that be a factor in the
difference in acceleration ?

I have not put my race bike on the dyno yet, but once I get a couple of
things sorted out I will. What I do know is my friend Walt's BMW 750 with
few modifications puts out 46hp to the wheel. On the track his bikethe
accelerates much faster than my V-700 but our top speeds are almost
identical. The acceleration advantage may be due to the five speed he has
verses my four speed. If I had to guess a stock V-700 puts out low 40s at
wheel & an Ambassador mid 40s. I'm looking forward to racing Walt again at
Mid-Ohio, hoping I can beat him this time.
