Dave, I purchased a set of Mac slashcuts about 2 months ago and had to
do some cutting of the head pipes to make them line up with the
mounting holes. Took some effort but was worth it as they look
great,no cobbled brackets. Oh yeah they sound great, probably a little
louder than the rusted out LaFranconis that were on it.....IF you go
this route remember to measure twice and cut once. Dont't know about
drilling stainless ,mebbe better drillbit<g>

I put on the headers and mufflers for the first time last night and
discovered that the hangers on the mufflers were far from the
correct
 position.

Is there an additional bracket that bolts to the footpeg hanger or
did I
just get the wrong muffler? They are MAC slashcuts.

As a fix I hacked a pair of brackets out of SS but when it came time
to
drill the appropriate holes my drillbit(s) went up in smoke and
melted.
What is the right way to drill stainless?
