Well there I was heading for montana for a yearly run as a test for the
Nats. Loosing oil out the breather and thought I'd finally fixed it with the
in line pressure relief valve before the breather I'd never had. Hundred
miles out lots of clatter and the first blinking oil light I've ever seen.
eight quarts later I caught the last ferry home and
this morning popped the left side. broken second ring. and by now fused and
unlike the last time on the right side, scored the cylinder.
THE NATS ARE IN TWO WEEKS
. so either I find a good left cylinder or go for a thousand kit . Now who
said there was a company in europe that had a $300 set sleaves and pistons,
or was I dreaming.
Or else I'll have to ride the straight piped single up snaggy T3 to the
nats. and all you loupers will miss the chance to see the sweet old girl
thats got me home every time for twelve years and I do mean every time. The
same one you may have seen at the '91 Oregon nats or the '96 Wash nats.
Let's face it this list can do anything in a pinch and I'd never impose but
I've only got 2 weeks.
Yo loopers!!!
If your close I'd even buy a cylinder and sell it back to you, cause I'm
really hot for a thousand kit as the final fix.
Actually I'm only pissed because the nats are so close. This is the perfect
excuse to do the thou kit. but the time, the time
