Hi All,
One advantage of the 16" wheel would be more readily available whitewall
tires made for a rear wheel application. Another disadvantage along with
gearing difference is ground clearance. Loops already have a rather low
slung sump and I'd be leery about decreasing clearance further. Also the
steering would be effected - slower than it already is. That may be great in
areas where there's lots of straight roads, but in the twisties it could be
a hand full. Then again, it may not even be noticable! Personally, I won't
even try to second guess the Guzzi engineers on chassis spec. Just my $.02
