That tap can be found at McMaster-Carr (they're on line, but I can't
remember the exact address...I think www.mcmaster.com) or any of many other
machine shop supply companies (search the net). Go to a local machine shop
(it helps a whole lot if ya know someone that works there) and they may even
have one they'd loan ya.

I had a very Loopframe weekend as I showed loopframe newbe James Scott how to degunk his carb jets and replace his fuel lines and filters. Later on I worked on my bike and managed to shim the caliper correctly. I am ready to make my stainless lines but I have to figure out where to route them. I also discovered that I need a tap to chase the threads of my tank in size 12 mm / 1.0 I get the feeling this is not going to be found in Home Despot or Sears. Any Wisdom? David in NYC |
