We Loopframers have to love this guy. He has a barn full of old Loopframes
but he isn't trying to unload them for a bargin. No Way. He knows that these
bikes will go up and I think sometimes he thinks himself like one of the
Hunt Brother's trying to drive up the price of gold by buying all the
available stock. Welcome to the wonderful world of supply and demand.
The people that buy Loops (for any price) are buying them because they have
fallen in love with the engine/style/looks of the bike first and for the
future appreciation second. Kind of like buying that painting to hang on the
wall. You buy it for any price because you like looking at it (in our
case...and riding it) but wouldn't mind if it tripled in price :-)
I personally would find it hard to shell out $10k plus for a Loopframe but I
am saying that with two in the garage. However, I can certainly understand
the "I've got to have one" desire. Right now I have a friend who would love
to to buy a Loop but is seeing the bike prices quickly heading out of his
price range.
Regards....Ian
