Hmm. To measure rpm the meter must have the points open 4 times for every
two rpm on a 4 cyl engine, 8 times for every 2 rpm on an 8. The true rpm
on a twin should be twice that indicated when set for a four.
ie if you set it for 4 cyl, 500=1000, 1000=2000, etc.
