Did we ever decide that backing off the nuts before re-torqueing
might be the cause of the leaking afterwards? I am on the side of not
backing off, but just putting the wrench on it again.
It would seem that if you are keeping an eye on the valve clearances
and for leaks that the risks are minor in not doing the re-torque but it
goes against everything in print.

With the talk that was going on a while ago about the heads starting
to leak oil after a re torque
(due to the o rings getting screwed up) I am thinking that I might
not
bother to re torque the heads.
Are there any risks if I don't re torque?
