FWIW, finding "OEM" Guzzi "torpedo" style mufflers, as original, is going to
be tough. As such, there really are no OEM mufflers out there anymore. There
are *aftermarket* "OEM" appearing mufflers, in effect, "reproductions", in
stainless and chrome. The stainless items are made domestically, the chrome
steel in Europe. Yes, the stainless run $450 something a pair, the chrome
steel pairs can be had for $350. There are other alternatives, Bub, Mac, JC
Whitney Emgo Dunstall Replicas, Cherry Bombs, Alis Chalmers, etc, etc, etc.
Price varies due to appearance and quality. Beauty, as well as cost
effectivness is in the eye of the owner.
Also, heard today that the MAC fishtails aren't available right now, from
MAC at least. Don't know if that's true or not, if anyone wants any of
those, scout out some dealer's shelves, as MAC tends to take their time
pumping out product.
