I got ta jonesing becouse I hadn't ridden in nearly two weeks becouse of
a bad starter solinoid. Got that fixed(new solinoid-21 bucks!)and took a
spin around central AZ on Sat.
First I headed out of the big city and out to the farm country of
Laveen, AZ, a whole 15 miles away. Went to Buckeye AZ after that, cattle
and cotton country, twenty more miles. Took old US80 to Gila Bend,
AZ,(the water pump replacement capitol of the world) about 45 miles.
From there, to Casa Grande,almost.(40 miles) Sorry Nolan, I didn't have
your number or I woulda stopped by. I headed north thru Stanfield and on
into Ak Chin and visited the casino.(20 miles) From there into east
Phoenix and then on into home.(40 miles)
Got me a really good sunburn for all that fun!! About 70-75 degrees.

Tom - here is the contrast to your ride in balmy Arizona- saturday , I
watched the sun and the temperature go from a magnificent almost 50 degrees
during shop hours. At closing time ,3pm, I was dressed and just a little
antsy. The lectric vest at home , it was 31 degrees- but I had to go. 40
miles later I was back it was 26 degrees and the sun was setting . I am
happy to report that there was no sunburn. Although the next day cross
country skiing did give me a warm glow thru the cheeks in the - 10 degree
wind chill weather here in wintry NY. The bike was a 74 MW R90 - naked but
with hippo hands.
