When I bought my '72 Eldo a few years back, I went over the entire
electrical system; I have already completed my course work (Italian
Electrics 101, 204, and 302) via my Alfas. Now we all have heard of
someone using a penny as a substitute for fuse in a home fuse panel but
how about a screw? Yes, I found that a PO hadn't bothered to put in a
real fuse and fashioned one out of a screw. Just the shank was used but
the ends were nicely ground down to cones. Now, there was someone who
was willing to go the extra distance to really mess things up....
