I read in the Guzzi Tips a while ago about a way to improve the braking
by increasing the pressure on the shoes. Its done by shortening the
actuating cams by about 3/8 inch. Its hard to describe in words
exactly but the closest I can come is to compare it to a vise grip
toggle action. By shortening the cam you actually wedge the cam
between the anchor bolt and the shoe.
Looking at the cam, it appears to be between 2 washers or discs that
seem to be riveted together.
HAs anyone done this mod and how do I get the cams out so I can get them
machined down?
Thanks for any experiences you can share!
