My present was a 200 mi ride. A very warm New Year's eve. Went with a bunch of guys on expensive sport tourers. Still pretty damn cold. Started out on gieger grade--the super twisty road to Virginia City, and then down the back side--known only as "the truck route"--even tighter turns. Crisp, but bright sunshine, some major leaning, although no frame dragging. Pretty well kept up with the fast group. The Eldo purred thru Virginia City--at least the guy in front of said that's what it sounded like. We then did some 80-90 runs thru the desert-beautiful rolling hills of sage and mountains all around. A great meatball sandwich at a little place between two small towns in Smith Valley, and a run back into Reno at the base of the Sierra Nevada. The Guzzi did well, although I lost horn and turn signals and a couple of the indictorlite bezels vibrated off. WFO was ng--I think I need smaller mains. In spite of minor stuff, a glorious day!
