Hi Keith,

I wouldn't think the bike would be worth more that $700 :-)

It is really hard to determine a value on a bike like that. Roughly I would
say between $3 and $5k ? Really it all depends on what someone is prepared
to give at the time.

In the spring I saw an original Eldo with 6,000 miles go for $4600.

Loopframes are funny bikes. One person wouldn't pay $500 for one and someone
else will pay close to $10k for a restored Eldo. And there is a beautifully
restored Eldo that Dave is GIVING away for $5k and yet no takers.

Whatever the price of your machine....it does sound sweet :-) Why on earth
would you even consider selling it ? :-)

Regards...Ian

Subject: 71 LAPD Ambo Value

Curiosity Question here, was wondering how much my 71 LAPD Ambo is
worth. I'm the second owner, bike has 5100 original miles, in exc
condition, not showroom new, but very clean. Black/chrome tank, white
fenders, new Conti tires (stock size), new mirrors, re-chromed header
pipes and new Valtek mufflers, original solo springer seat, new solo
passenger seat from Harpers, Harley style windscreen with all new
plexi-glass. Bike is at Guzzi dealer having a full "bumper-to-bumper"
inspection and full service, so it won't need a thing when I get it
back. Also am having them install the K&N individual carb air filters.
Has police steel saddle bags that I painted two-tone white/black to
match the bike. Also has new fender Moto Guzzi emblems, and the full
police package of crash guards, floorboards, heel-toe-shifter, long side
stand, spot lights, and police speedo.
